Creating the Graduation Show
Our graduation performances are created through a distinct artistic language and a strong artistic identity. With deep respect for dance as an art form and as a universal physical language, we create original and contemporary works that reflect both individuality and collective expression.
Dance is always at the core of our work. We explore the freedom, depth, and creative responsibility that dance offers, challenging dancers to engage fully—physically, artistically, and personally. Creativity is driven by movement, musicality, visual composition, and aesthetic awareness, rather than narrative storytelling.
We work within an open and ambitious creative environment where dance is allowed to stand on its own. The performances are not built around explanations or predefined stories, but around presence, sensation, and artistic clarity. This approach highlights dance’s strength as an abstract and powerful form of communication.
Each graduating class brings a wide range of personalities and backgrounds into the process. Collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility are essential elements in the creation of our final performances. Our ambition is to create work that connects with diverse audiences—inviting them to experience rather than interpret.
The process
The creation of our graduation performances closely mirrors the workflow of a professional stage production.
The process begins with research, exploration, and movement creation. Through workshops and guided experimentation, dancers contribute actively to the development of material, working with physical detail, dynamics, musicality, and atmosphere. Individual creativity is supported by clear methodology and close artistic guidance from the choreographer.
As the work develops, the choreographer introduces the musical and visual universe, as well as the structural and aesthetic framework of the piece. We continue to build the work in layers—movement, visual expression, and costume—using contrast and creative constraints to develop depth, clarity, and dynamic range.
Mistakes, resistance, and unexpected outcomes are treated as valuable creative tools. These moments often lead to new discoveries and become integral to the final performance.
The result is a refined and contemporary stage work that invites the audience to let go of analysis and engage fully with the experience—allowing dance to lead.
